The investment concerns the reconstruction of the western facade of the Klif Fashion House, located at 58/72 Okopowa Street in Warsaw. The Klif Fashion House consists of a 22-storey office part and a 2-storey commercial-service part.
The reconstruction involves changing the external cladding only of the commercial-service part of the center. The main objective set by the investor in this task was to emphasize the unique character of the center. In response to this, a change of facade was designed to replicate the diamond's karat structure, which is made of Corian DuPont or glass reinforced with polyester or coated with polyester resin.
During the analysis, it was recognized that the facade is mainly visible from Okopowa Street, from the perspective of motor and tram traffic in this area. Therefore, it was considered that both the dimensions of the current facades and their length are excellent advantages. Therefore, the quality and aesthetics of the finish should add to its purity of form and recognizable view. It was also recognized that accentuating the geometry with the play of light and shadow would be an excellent complement to these values. This inspiration led to the main motif used during the design of the new facade covering, based on the nobility and beauty presented by the diamond structure and how its beauty is emphasized by the angle of light incidence.
Our goal was to propose a new attire for the Klif Fashion House that will make it an architectural icon.
