Warsaw, Piaskowa Street
Client: Amabud Sp.z o.o.
Design: 2002-2004
Net area: 8600m2
Construction: 2003-2005
A housing complex designed for a limited investment budget with a predominance of two room flats and larger flats on the top floor. The six floor building with its simple modernst shape among the chaotic architecture of the area of the Babka Roundabout became one of the primary architectural accents which helped arrange the local town space which had been in such disarray.
The wide balconies which emphasise the horizontal elements of the building and the elegant ascetic glass verandas give a pleasant view of the tree top of the Powązki Cementery nearby.
Underneath the building there are two levels of underground parking for 200 cars which were built using cavity wall technology.
