The primary aim of the design was the revitalization of the former factory site “Eskimo” in £ód¼. The architecture of the designed buildings, economical and modestly elegant, alludes to £ód¼ modernism and stands in contrast to old brick development of the former factory site.
The idea behind the design was to create an open, attractive urban space, while at the same time sectioning off semi-public and private spaces.
The created residential-service complex comprises ten new buildings centred around a
city square and an existing historic building with a chestnut-lined avenue leading to it. The historic building and distinctive brick plinths, together with the slope of the terrain, clearly divide open urban space from numerous semi-private courtyards of the complex.
