The “Międzyborska 11” housing estate is located on a site situated between Międzyborska Street and Kompasowa Street in the South Praga district of Warsaw. It consists of154 flats of high and medium standard, retail on the ground floor as well as a 2-storey parking garage.
The primary aim of the designers was to reconcile the high density while retaining the green character of the site by breaking up the development into individual buildings and concealing all car traffic in the parking garage. A “green terrace” was created, creating additional recreational areas, open to the view of neighbouring residents. Characteristic dynamic angles which open up individual views of the neighbouring areas give shape to the development and ensure ample sunlight to neighbouring buildings.
