A design for the redevelopment, modernisation and expansion of an existing office building dating back to the seventies for a Greek company that wished to make it into headquarters conducive to teamwork. The transparent communication zone which serves as a representative entrance hall and the glass conference halls adjacent to it in the side wings of the building all open on eachother so that the employees of the company can all have eye contact with eachother.
A water pool is envisaged in front of the building which transforms into a granite square in the winter season. Beyond the communication zone or hall there is an internal courtyard featuring green gardens which serves as a cosy space for the employees of the company and its guests.
The simplicity of the architecture and its character alude to the elegant cosmetic product packaging designed and sold by the owner of the building. The colour schemes of the finishing materials allude clearly to the colours of buildings on the islands of the Egean Sea. The cool shades of the facade contrast discretely with the warmth of the woodwork of the windows and doors and the colours of the interiors.
