Grupa 5 was established as a limited liability company in June 1998 by Roman Dziedziejko, Mikolaj Kadlubowski, Michal Leszczynski, Krzysztof Mycielski and Mariusz Jasinski.

Rafał Zelent (1969), Warsaw Technical University (M Arch 1996), prize for best diplomma project from the Ministry of Interior, 1st prize from the Ministry of Interior for the Old Paper Mill Shopping Centre renovation project (2003) along with Andrzej Bulanda, Wlodzimierz Mucha, previously own practice in Warsaw (2003-2005) and London (1998-2000).

In 2007 Rafał Grzelewski became a partner with Grupa 5:
