According to the idea of the radiance of Solidarity as a concept for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe during the decline of communism, today the European Solidarity Centre is meant to radiate its openness to humanity and to fostering understanding among people. It is intended to illuminate the Solidarity Square and the immediate surroundings of the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers. The Solidarity Centre, in the form of a Winter Garden along with the Square and the Monument, will become a new beacon on the coast, shedding light on the future and radiating the great idea born in this place.
