The seaside promenade in Hel - a competition project, first prize.
The promenade project was developed as part of a competition announced by the Mayor of Hel. The design concept envisages the organization of public space of the promenade leading to the naval port through the areas adjacent to the Faculty of Oceanography of the University of Gdańsk, a public square, yacht marina, fishing port, all the way to the Cape of the Hel Peninsula.
The Grupa 5 project proposes a change in land use from the former port to a tourist function. We propose low-rise buildings that, in their scale, material, and character, refer to the historical architecture in the city of Hel. The planned space for the building complex includes the location of modern recreational, recreational, and commercial functions such as cafes, galleries, guesthouses, as well as SPA complexes, biological renewal functions, and shops.
The public space will promote environmental education and will be connected in the future with other projects in the city of Hel: Błękina Village, the Monument to the Defenders of Hel, and the Aquarium.
